Set of four Russian Neoclassical mahogany chairs. Each one is with out-scrolled backrest with foliate scrolled top rail, the down swept armrests raised on rosette support above drop seat, raised on sabre legs. Circa 1820s.

Pair of Rare Russian Neoclassical Armchairs

Very fine and rare pair of Russian Neoclassical mahogany armchairs. Each one is with an arched top rail continuing to the scrolled armrest with large rosettes above bow-fronted seat raised on scrolled acanthus legs in paw feet. Second quarter of 19th century. Similar armchairs were sold at Sotheby's New York, October 13, 1999, lot # 390.
